This document proposes equations to model the revised South African sardine stock structure hypothesis. The model allows for either two components and two areas (with cold temperate sardine spawning off the west coast and warm temperate sardine spawning off the west and south coasts) or three components and three areas (with cold temperate sardine spawning off the northwest and southwest coasts; warm temperate sardine spawning off the south coast and warm temperate southwest coast spawned sardine spawning off the southwest coast).</p
