Travail et santé mentale : Une problématique à bâtir

II est un domaine de la santé au travail où les connaissances sont des plus minces et où la recherche tarde vraiment à démarrer : c'est celui de la santé mentale. Après avoir effectué une synthèse rapide des connaissances acquises, l'auteur déplore les problèmes d'interprétation que posent les résultats des recherches empiriques en l'absence d'un encadrement théorique adéquat. À l'aide d'un examen critique du travail comme valeur sociale d'une part et comme élément de réalité d'autre part, il tente de poser quelques jalons d'une problématique nouvelle. Son hypothèse s'appuie sur l'observation d'un écart qui va croissant entre l'éthique du travail telle qu'enseignée et apprise à des générations de travailleurs et l'évolution de l'organisation du travail dans les entreprises modernes.This is a sphere of the field of health at work in wich knowledge is extremely limited and where research is truly slow in getting of the ground - the sphere of mental health. After providing a rapid synthesis of acquired knowledge, the author deplores the interpretive problems caused by having empirical research results without an adequate theoretical framework. With the help of a critical examination of work as social value on the one hand, and as reality element on the other, he attempts to lay down some guidelines of the new problem area. His hypothesis is based on the observation of an increasing disparity between the work ethic as it was thought to generations of workers, and the evolution of work structures in modern enterprises
