In this chapter we describe the methods and results of the Medical Research Council Cognitive Function and Ageing Studies (MRC CFAS) I and II. The study design and aims of CFAS I and CFAS II (started in October 2008) are described. CFAS I and CFAS II are population based studies of individuals aged 65 and above living in England and Wales. CFAS I has produced a range of results and a selection are shown within the chapter. The study data are part of a facilitated managed resource for collaborations. The details of which are described. © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd
