The Safety Risk Library is a database that integrates construction safety knowledge from multiple sources. It maps safety risk scenarios characterised by six data points based on a formalised ontology to appropriate treatments that can mitigate the risks at different design stages, facilitating the implementation of prevention through design. The data points that characterise a risk scenario are: risk category, which describes the type of risk that can occur in the scenario; risk location; element type; risk factor; construction scope; and associated activity.
