The Opinion Polls on Sports Administration among Local Public Employees and Local Assemblymen

"This study purposes to understand the sports administrative meaning of Recommendation Reports submitted by the Committee for the Promotion of Decentralization, the Plan for the Promotion of Decentralization and Amendment of Sports Promotion Law. Moreover, this study shows and analyses the result of opinion polls on sports administration among local public employees and local assemblymen. It is a meaningful examination for us to consider ideal method of carrying out sports promotion at the crucial time of decentralization in Japan. It is a fact that voices of citizens demanding improvement of and more satisfaction from sports leaders and facilities are on the increase. Therefore the question of how to establish the proper relationship of roles among citizens, businesses, and government in the future poses an insistent and important problem for current sports policymakers in Japan.
