The pulsed (PEA) and step (SEA) electroacoustic methods — applied for the measurements of polarisation distribution along the radius of piezoelectric cables. The results obtained by PEA and SEA methods show slight differences with polarisation distributions. The effects of charging time — distribution along the radius in active polymeric layer have been shown. The simple model has been proposed as an attempt to understand the observed phenomena
