Cet article consiste en un examen des tenants et aboutissants des écritures hypertextuelles en mode narratif au XXe siècle. Y sont successivement analysées les limites de l’hypertextualité (par rapport aux notions d’intertextualité, de métatextualité, d’architextualité et de paratextualité) et ses conséquences pour le sujet-écrivant comme pour la société qui accueille et consomme ces productions particulières.
