Les hypertextes en questions : (Note sur les implications théoriques de l’hypertextualité)

Cet article consiste en un examen des tenants et aboutissants des écritures hypertextuelles en mode narratif au XXe siècle. Y sont successivement analysées les limites de l’hypertextualité (par rapport aux notions d’intertextualité, de métatextualité, d’architextualité et de paratextualité) et ses conséquences pour le sujet-écrivant comme pour la société qui accueille et consomme ces productions particulières. L’enquête vise ainsi à ébaucher un panorama des implications poétiques, socio-psychologiques, socio-historiques et épistémologiques de l’activité de réécriture hypertextuelle — sans pour autant négliger sa dimension proprement esthétique.This article consists in an examination of the ins and outs of hypertextual writings in the narrative mode during the 20th century. It successively analyzes the limits of hypertextuality (as compared to the notions of intertextuality, metatextuality, architextuality, and paratextuality) and its consequences for both the writing subject and the society that receives and consumes these particular productions. Thus, this investigation is designed to sketch out an overview of the poetical, sociopsychological, sociohistorical, and epistemological implications of the activity of hypertextual re-writing — without, however, ignoring its specifically aesthetic dimension
