Partant de sept monographies réalisées dans autant d’usines de l’industrie automobile au Mexique, cet article explore les contours et les ressorts du pouvoir des syndicats locaux. Il cherche à montrer que la mondialisation n’a pas un effet surdéterminant sur la capacité d’action des syndicats, même au Mexique, où le régime institutionnel de relations du travail subit les contrecoups des nouvelles règles qu’impulse la mondialisation.
