In this work, the effective diffusivity of carbon-fiber gas diffusion layers (GDLs) used in polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFCs) was determined by performing lattice Boltzmann (LB) simulations on X-ray tomographic reconstructions of invading water configurations.
