Detection of child pornographic content using AI-based semantic analysis

Die fortschreitende Digitalisierung stellt Ermittlungs- und Strafverfolgungsbehörden vor große Herausforderungen. Die steigenden Datenmengen sind insbesondere für die Aufklärung von Delikten wie der Kinderpornografie ein Problem, da große Datenbestände manuell gesichtet werden müssen. Um Herr der Lage zu bleiben, müssen neue Ermittlungsansätze eingeführt werden, die sich technisch unterstützender Werkzeuge wie KI bedienen. Zielen solche Hilfsmittel heute auf die Reduktion der händisch zu analysierenden Materialien ab. Bisher fehlt eine semantische Betrachtungsmöglichkeit der kinderpornografischen Inhalte, um Bild- und Videomaterialien einer Aufnahmeserie zuordnen zu können. Diese Forschungsarbeit befasst sich mit der Konzeption der semantischen Analyse kinderpornografischer Materialien.The proceeding digitalization poses challenges for investigativ and criminal prosecution authorities. The increasing amount of data is a problem especially for the investigation of childpornography because of the manual classification of a seized data. In order to keep control of the situation they have to introduce new investigative processes that use technically supported tools such as AI. Whereas today’s tools are aiming of reducing the number of files which have to be analyzed manually, as there are no ways to inspect the child pornography in a semantic way to allocate the pictures and videos to a series.
