Thesis (M.A.)--Wichita State University, College of Health Professions, Dept. of Communication Sciences and DisordersThe purpose of this study was to determine if a difference existed in the efficacy of "Supported Conversation for Adults with Aphasia" (SCA) strategies between persons in the acute and chronic stages of aphasia. Additionally, did any change occur in the personal satisfaction of conversational interaction when SCA strategies were implemented and if so, was there a relationship between the degree of change and the stage of aphasia.
