This paper presents the test results of a study on the bond performance of near-surface mounted (NSM) basalt fiber reinforced polymer (BFRP) bars to concrete. Twelve C-shape concrete specimens were tested under direct pull-out loading configuration. Test parameters included the bar surface configuration (deformed and sand coated), the types of epoxy adhesive (NSM Gel and Sikadur-30), and the bonded length (6, 12, and 24 times its diameter). The influence of various parameters on the overall bond performance of NSM-BFRP bars is analyzed and discussed.
