As always, a look at the development of the environmental law of the EU will have to be limited to a selection of some aspects. While a number of issues gained significant public attention this year—such as the implications of the Russian war against Ukraine or regional events, such as droughts or the mass die-off of fish in the Oder River—the focus of this text will be on the implementation of EU environmental standards.
