International audienceThe increased electrification of aircraft involves a necessary increase in operating voltages. This has consequences for the electrical insulation of equipment subject to higher partial discharge stresses. Auxel is an industrial company - subsidiary of the AMPHENOL group - specialising in laminated busbars for power electronics. As a leader of a European Horizon 2020 CleanSky project [1], it has developed a new electrical insulation technology (V.I.L.B) particularly well adapted to SiC circuit busbars. The VILB technology is based on the deposition of multiple thin layers of a solvent-free, UV-crosslinked varnish.
