Masonry is the oldest civil engineering material employed until present in building construction. However, the presence of micro-cracks in masonry structures due to external conditions can affect their durability. The objective of this thesis is to predict the local behaviour of damaged masonry structures. For this purpose, we propose to couple the completed numerical modeling (finite element method) of the masonry to a multi-scale approach taking into account the presence of microcracks in the mortar joints or in the brick/mortar interfaces.
