Déchets et environnement contribution de la stabilisation

The research activities on the knowledge and the treatment of industrial wastes began at INSA of Lyon, France in 1973, when the Laboratory Of Applied Chemistry was created; which became the Laboratory of Applied Physical Chemistry and Environnement in 1980; which in turn became the Laboratory of Environnemental Analysis of Processes and lndustrial Systems in 1996.This activity, open to a very wide spectrum of scientific domains, was at first based on the analysis of industrial waste and the residues of their treatment in different waste management pathways; principally the work was based on the notion of landfills becoming “technical burial centres” and on incineration. The laboratory has logically orientated its research in the direction of the evaluation of the impacts on the physical environnement (wastes, air, soils) but also on the living environnement (animals, plants and humans), the inevitable corollary of the ultimate stage of these wastes.L'activité de recherche sur la connaissance et le traitement des déchets industriels a été, pour l'Insa de Lyon, initiée en 1973 avec la création du Laboratoire de chimie appliquée (LCA), devenu ensuite, en 1980, Laboratoire de chimie physique appliquée et environnement (LCPAE), puis en 1996 Laboratoire d'analyse environnementale des procédés et des systèmes industriels (Laepsi).Cette activité ouverte à un très large spectre de possibilités scientifiques a été, dans un premier temps, centrée sur la connaissance analytique des déchets industriels et des résidus de leur traitement dans différentes filières, principalement la « mise en décharge » devenue stockage en Centre d'enfouissement technique (CET) et l'incinération. Le laboratoire a logiquement fait évoluer ses recherches en direction de l'évaluation des impacts sur l'environnement physique (eau, air, sol) mais aussi les milieux vivants (animaux, végétaux, êtres humains), corollaire inévitable de l'état ultime de ces déchets
