Introduction: Sever's disease or calcaneal apophysitis is a growth disorder and is defined as apophyseal osteochondritis that begins in the calcaneus. It develops in children and adolescents. Objective: The aim of this review is to identify risk factors for Sever's disease in young people in order to prevent the condition and facilitate its diagnosis. Method: Searches were performed on three different databases: PEDro, Pubmed and Kinedoc. Three studies were selected from 26 results to address the problem.
