As part of AMTEX'74 program the group of the University of the Ryukus carried out the observation of the lower tropospheric atmosphere during the period from 0900 hr Feb.16 through 1800 hr Feb. 19 in 1914 at the observation site set up on the shore of Bisesaki, Motobu, Okinawa, The observation consists of two sections: one is obtaining the data on air temperature and humidity using LTS (Lower Tropspheric Radiosonde) system and the other observing wind direction and speed by the pibal tracking method. The former was largely conducted by Suguru ISHIJIMA , and the latter by Isao NAKAMURA, having help from two student participants of the University of the Ryukyus.
