This is to show a general method to realize any zig-zag current-voltage characteristics by a circuit including diodes. It is shown that all the 2n ON-OFF states of n diodes are not realizable when the number of external terminal is small. In the case of two-terminal circuits, the simplest method to represent any zig-zag characteristics is provided and its applicability is discussed
