This paper is concerned with the improvement of asynchronous torque characteristics of a solid rotor three-phase reluctance motor. The experimental results are shown. It has been found that the short-circuited rings are considered to be an advantageous method for the practical application. The paper also describes experimental results obtained for the synchronous torques in revolution of the motor. A particularly notable result is that the variation in the rotor parameter cause no qualitative change in the torque but do cause a substantial quantitative change
