We investigate the interaction between a typhoon and the background winds, the easterlies and the westerlies, by using a Fortran calculation code for many-body vortex filaments. The results show that the vortex of a typhoon greatly influences the distribution of the vortices embeded in the background winds, which results in varieties of the tracks as can be seen in actual typhoons
