The potential impact of the Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes, (MWCNT) was investigated on Xenopus laevis tadpoles exposed to concentrations of 0.1, 1 and 10 mg/L, on period ranging from 2 to 24 h. Biochemical measurements across whole larvae were allowed to demonstrate induction of oxidative stress, characterized by the production of hydrogen peroxide and induction of anti-oxidantive enzymes: glutathion reductase, catalase and superoxide dismutase, depending of the concentration MWCNT. Significant production of malondialdehyde, a major marker of lipid peroxidation was measured in larvae in presence of Raw MWCNT.
