Biogas upgrading is a valorization pathway that is essential to the energy transition, allowing the substitution of natural gas of fossil origin by a renewable energy for various applications. But the low economic profitability for small production scales, typical of a medium-sized agricultural installation, restricts its development, whereas these units are the most compatible on the societal and environmental level.
