Technogenia® is a French company, founded in 1979, specialized in hardfacing solutions based on tungsten carbide welding overlays. As part of the thesis, Technogenia® wishes to assess the suitability of using Additive Manufacturing technology to produce wear-resistant parts based on tungsten carbide. The company's primary objective is to use laser-powder bed fusion (L-PBF) technology to produce tungsten carbide-based parts that approach the mechanical characteristics of tungsten carbide-based parts made by conventional processes.
