This study aims to design, implement and model a small fixed bed reactor so that to perform a large number of consecutive Adsorption- Xidation cycles over Activated Carbon (AC) for water treatment. The evolution of the adsorption capacity of various activated carbons (commercial and issued from sewage sludges) is investigated during the cycles treating different wastewaters: model (phenol), dye (tartrazine) and industrial effluent. The measurement of the adsorption and oxidation performances has allowed to precise the features of the AD-OX process.
