In underwater environments, there is an essential need for efficient wireless communication tech- niques in several applications, including installation monitoring, underwater robotics, port secu- rity, etc. Underwater wireless optical communications (UWOC) offer low implementation cost, low latency, high data rate, and energy efficiency, compared with traditional acoustic communi- cations.
