This thesis deals with the aeroelastic modeling of an aircraft, and its active control. By using the control surfaces of the aircraft in an appropriate way, it is possible to reduce the loads due to wind gusts and turbulence. This reduces the mass of the structures responsible for maintaining the integrity of the aircraft, thus improving the performance of the overall design. The use of lidar, a sensor that measures wind speed several tens of meters ahead of the aircraft, is being considered to improve load reduction capabilities. In addition, future aircraft should have longer and more flexible wings, which reduces drag but creates harmful aeroelastic effects.
