Access to clean water for agriculture and food is one of the major challenges for the future of humanity in the coming decades. In order to use at lower cost the sea water present in large quantities on the planet, the current desalination membranes require technological improvements. Chemical synthesis provides biomimetic solutions such as artificial water channels to shape the membranes of tomorrow.
