The main objectives of the studies performed in this thesis were: 1) To investigate the interindividual variability of eye gaze pattern to social cues in typically developing children and to investigate whether this variability in social behavior would be associated with variability in brain white matter (WM) integrity, particularly within regions of the social brain. For this purpose, we used an eye-tracking paradigm developed in our laboratory presenting characters in social interaction. This allowed us to make objective measurements of eye-gaze, in particular the number of fixations to the eyes.
