Thermoplastic composites utilisation isincreasing in the transport industry. Welding is afast joining method for these materials, creatingcontinuity between the assembled parts and offeringhigh mechanical strength. However, its applicationto transport structures can raise questionsdue to the dynamic loading that may occurand the strain rate sensitivity of various thermoplasticmatrices.
