The effects of humor coping with interpersonal stress on psychological health

埼玉県越谷市[Purpose] This study examined the effects of humor coping with interpersonal stress on the relationship between aggression, altruism, self-acceptance, and psychological health. [Method] Three hundred undergraduates (95 males and 205 females) completed a questionnaire that included the Japanese version of the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire (BAQ), the Self-Compassion Scale, the Self-Acceptance Scale (SAS), the Humor Coping with Interpersonal Stress Scale (HCISS), and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). [Result] Results of covariance structure analyses revealed that self-acceptance promoted positive aggression, such as verbal aggression, and inhibited negative aggression, such as physical aggression hostility, and anger. Verbal aggression promoted humor that alleviated anxiety and self-referencing humor. Verbal aggression also tended to alleviated depression. These findings suggest that positive aggression promotes the use of humor to cope with interpersonal stress and it also alleviates depression. 【目的】 本研究の目的は，攻撃性、自己受容，愛他性と対人ストレスユーモアコーピングとの関連性および心理的健康への影響を検討することである。 【方法】 調査協力者 : 男子大学生95名（平均年齢 = 19.58歳，SD = 1.03)，女子大学生205名（平均年齢 = 19.46歳，SD = 0.99），合計300名（平均年齢 = 19.5歳，SD = 1.00）であった。質問紙 : 日本版Buss-Perry攻撃性質問紙（Japanese version of the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire : BAQ)，思いやり尺度，自己受容尺度，対人ストレスユーモア対処尺度 （Humor Coping with Interpersonal Stress Scale : HCISS) ，Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale (HADS尺度) を使用した。 【結果】共分散構造分析を行った結果，自己受容が適切な攻撃性である言語的攻撃を高め，身体的攻撃，敵意，短気といったネガティブな攻撃性を抑制する傾向が認められ，言語的攻撃が不安緩和ユーモアと自己ネタユーモアを促進し，抑うつを軽減する傾向が認められた。以上のことから適切な攻撃性は対人ストレスユーモアコーピングを促進し，抑うつを軽減させる傾向が示された。
