埼玉県越谷市In this paper, the author will examine the discourse analysis of Japanese laughter which has not yet received adequate attention in the past. This research consists of the two steps. The first research has been done as a pilot study to the second step of the research project. Both of them examined the co-occurrence between laughter and time and laughter and formality respectively. The results are as follows: 1. The low co-occurrence between the meeting session and the laughter. 2.
