This research aims to examine from an analytical perspective the most frequent morphosyntactic errors that Egyptian students commit while learning the Italian language. The discussion of this topic is not a mere list of students’ errors, rather it focuses on the problem of error analysis and on the other related problems, such as the typology, the frequency and, finally, the causes of such errors. We started from the fact that in the learning phases of an SL, most students encounter difficulties especially in written production. The correction of the works produced by learners allows us to study the causes of certain errors and to isolate, analyse and correct them
