Global Management and Corporate Social Responsibility

Multinational corporations are being evaluated by the triple-bottom-line standards nowadays. Many research institutions and NGOs have been judging multinational corporations' performances not only by its financial results, but also by their environmental and social records. At the same time, many customers and investors start to purchase or invest with the sense of CSR. Such green consumption and socially responsible investment movements encourage multinational corporations to commit to implement corporate social responsibility. In this paper, I would like to explore the mechanism and relationship between global management and corporate social responsibility. I would like to indicate that CSR activities have become essential elements to multinational corporations' core business strategies and those companies that promote CSR proactively will benefit in this new evaluation system
