Yanagisawa Yoshiyasuﾕs Two Villas : －River Side One and Sea Side One－

Yanagisawa Yoshiyasu (1658~1714) was bestowed thirteen villas by the 5th Shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi (Remain ; 1680~1709 / 1646~1709) in his lifetime. In this paper, I would like to consider two of them, namely river side one and sea side one, reprinting the official record ﾒRakusidou Nenrokuﾓ (楽只堂年録) written by Yoshiyasu. By the way ﾒRakusidouﾓ is Yoshiyasuﾕs pen name. In 1693 Jun. 18, that is during the Genroku (元禄) era, Yoshiyasu acquired the villa, built on the small hill along Sumida river nearby Asakusa. At present, there is ﾒMatsuchiyama Syoudenﾓ (待乳山聖天) or a kind of Shinto shrine. In 1707 Jun. 11, that is during the Hoei (宝永) era, Yoshiyasu acquired the another villa faced Tokyo bay near Hama Detached Palace (浜離宮). That villa had very beautiful garden as same as Hama Detached Palace. I think this villa is exactly original Shiba Detached Palace (芝離宮)
