Yanagisawa Yoshiyasu (1658~1714) was bestowed thirteen villas by the 5th Shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi (Remain ; 1680~1709 / 1646~1709) in his lifetime. In this paper, I would like to consider two of them, namely river side one and sea side one, reprinting the official record メRakusidou Nenrokuモ (楽只堂年録) written by Yoshiyasu. By the way メRakusidouモ is Yoshiyasuユs pen name. In 1693 Jun. 18, that is during the Genroku (元禄) era, Yoshiyasu acquired the villa, built on the small hill along Sumida river nearby Asakusa. At present, there is メMatsuchiyama Syoudenモ (待乳山聖天) or a kind of Shinto shrine.
