[出版社版]We construct a non-perturbative method to calculate the effective potential of the λφ4 theory at finite temperature. We express the derivative of the effective potential with respect to the mass squared in terms of the full propagator. We reduce this equation to a partial differential equation for the effective potential using an approximation. We numerically solve this equation and obtain the effective potential non-perturbatively. We find that the phase transition is second order, as it should be. We determine several critical exponents
