指導教員: 埼玉大学大学院理工学研究科教授 窪田陽一This research intends to clarify optimum illumination patterns of urban nightscape. For this purpose the lighting distribution and its related effect were classified, while giving parallel consideration to the spatial layout of the street. The experimental work was carried out by choosing 33 road segments, lying between the East Exit of Omiya Station and the Hikawa shrine as a model space. Spatial layouts of the streets were classified considering street depth(d), building height(h), (d/h) ratio and the number of shops. Using photographic images, the illumination condition of area was surveyed for the characteristics of the lighting apparatus.
