Pengaruh Pemberian Beras Analog Umbi Gembili (Dioscorea Esculenta) terhadap Kadar Kolesterol Total pada Tikus Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2

Background: Dyslipidemia is a lipid metabolism disorder characterized by an increase or decrease in the lipid fraction in plasma. The increase in cholesterol levels is influenced by the diet consumed. Gembili tuber analog rice contains 14.77% soluble fiber which has the potential to reduce cholesterol levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus mice. Objective: To determine the effect of administering tuber gembili rice analogues on cholesterol levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus mice. Research Method: This type of research is true experimental with a pre test-post test control group design. Samples of male Albino Wistar rats with a total sample of 28 were divided into four groups. Gembili tuber analog rice was given for 14 days. Cholesterol level examination uses the enzymatic colorimetric method (CHOD PAP). The effect of the dose of gembili rice analogue on cholesterol levels using the one way anova test and the difference between the gembili rice analogue diet on cholesterol levels using the paired t test and Kruskal Wallis. Results: There was an effect of the gembili tuber rice analogue diet on reducing total cholesterol levels with (p<0.001) the group given gembili tuber analog rice 6.17 g/rat/day was able to reduce cholesterol levels by 80.11 mg/dL lower than those given analog rice 4.16 g/rat/day for BAG 1 group experienced a decrease in cholesterol levels of 51.57 mg/dL. Conclusion: There is an effect of giving gembili tuber analog rice on cholesterol levels which decrease by 26-40%.Latar Belakang : Dislipidemia adalah kelainan metabolisme lipid ditandai dengan peningkatan atau penurunan fraksi lipid dalam plasma. Kenaikan kadar kolesterol dipengaruhi diet makanan yang dikonsumsi. Beras analog umbi gembili memiliki kandungan serat larut 14,77% yang berpotensi menurunkan kadar kolesterol pada tikus diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian beras analog umbi gembili terhadap kadar kolesterol pada tikus diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Metode Penelitian : Jenis penelitian ini adalah true experimental dengan pre test-post test control grup design. Sampel tikus jantan Albino Wistar dengan total sampel 28 ekor dibagi empat kelompok. Pemberian beras analog umbi gembili dilakukan selama 14 hari. Pemeriksaan kadar kolesterol menggunakan metode kolorimetrik enzimatik (CHOD PAP). Pengaruh dosis beras analog umbi gembili terhadap kadar kolesterol menggunakan uji one way anova dan perbedaan diet beras analog umbi gembili terhadap kadar kolesterol menggunakan uji paired t test dan kruskal wallis. Hasil : Terdapat pengaruh diet beras analog umbi gembili terhadap penurunan kadar kolesterol total dengan (p<0,001) kelompok dengan pemberian beras analog umbi gembili 6,17 g/tikus/hari dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol lebih rendah sebesar 80,11 mg/dL daripada pemberian beras analog 4,16 g/tikus/hari sebesar Pada kelompok BAG 1 mengalami penurunan kadar kolesterol sebesar 51,57 mg/dL.
