In order to accurately estimate the second-order effects on the behavior of steel frames with semi-rigid connections as well as to perform the practical design more easily and rationally, an attempt was made to develop a structural analysis program which precisely considers the characteristics of semi-rigid connections. This program is composed of the following three main routines : (1) The procedure for the structural analysis based on the method presented by Goto-Chen. This method, which uses closed-form solutions, takes into account the geometrical nonlinearity along with the inelastic property of connections. (2) Program PACOM (Parameter Analysis of COnnection Models) to prepare the parameters for the prediction equations of semi-rigid ...
