AVALIAÇÃO DA IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DE PRÁTICAS DE HUMANIZAÇÃO NA UTI-NEONATAL

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a critical environment where premature newborns or infants with health complications receive intensive care. Humanization in this context is essential as it aims to promote the integration of the healthcare team with the family, respecting the individuality of the newborn and providing a welcoming environment. The main objective of this study is to analyze the implementation of humanization practices in the NICU. To achieve these objectives, we conducted an integrative review of the literature. We searched scientific databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Medline using keywords related to NICU, humanization, neonatal care, and family participation. Research articles, systematic reviews, and case studies published in the last 10 years were included. The selection of articles followed inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure relevance and study quality. The results of the review highlighted various humanization practices in the NICU. Rooming-in was identified as beneficial for the newborn's health and for strengthening the bond between parents and infants. Effective communication between the healthcare team and the family played a fundamental role in reducing anxiety and increasing parental involvement in infant care. Furthermore, the active presence and participation of the family in the NICU environment were considered essential for the humanization process. The training of the healthcare team in humanized approaches was identified as crucial. However, discussions also addressed barriers to the implementation of humanization practices, such as the lack of resources and inadequate physical infrastructure. The need for ongoing healthcare team training was emphasized to ensure adherence to humanized approaches. Humanization in the NICU not only improves the health outcomes of infants but also strengthens the bond between the family and the medical team, promoting a more compassionate and humanized care environment. Therefore, the continuity and expansion of these practices are essential for the quality of neonatal care. Overcoming the identified barriers and investing in ongoing training are important steps in promoting humanization in the NICU and ensuring the best possible care for newborns and their families.A Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal (UTI-Neonatal) é um ambiente crítico no qual recém-nascidos prematuros ou com complicações de saúde recebem cuidados intensivos. A humanização nesse contexto é essencial, pois visa promover a integração da equipe de saúde com a família, respeitando a individualidade do recém-nascido e proporcionando um ambiente acolhedor. O principal objetivo deste estudo é analisar a implementação de práticas de humanização na UTI-Neonatal. Para atingir esses objetivos, realizamos uma revisão integrativa da literatura. Pesquisamos em bases de dados científicas, como PubMed, Scopus e Medline, utilizando palavras-chave relacionadas à UTI-Neonatal, humanização, cuidados neonatais e participação da família. Foram incluídos artigos de pesquisa, revisões sistemáticas e estudos de caso publicados nos últimos 10 anos. A seleção dos artigos seguiu critérios de inclusão e exclusão para garantir a relevância e qualidade dos estudos. Os resultados da revisão destacaram diversas práticas de humanização na UTI-Neonatal. O alojamento conjunto foi apontado como benéfico para a saúde do recém-nascido e para fortalecer o vínculo entre pais e bebês. A comunicação eficaz entre a equipe de saúde e a família desempenhou um papel fundamental na redução da ansiedade e no envolvimento dos pais no cuidado do bebê. Além disso, a presença e participação ativa da família no ambiente da UTI-Neonatal foram consideradas essenciais para o processo de humanização. O treinamento da equipe de saúde em abordagens humanizadas foi identificado como crucial. No entanto, as discussões também abordaram as barreiras à implementação das práticas de humanização, como a falta de recursos e estrutura física inadequada. A necessidade de treinamento contínuo da equipe de saúde foi enfatizada para garantir a adesão a abordagens humanizadas. A humanização na UTI-Neonatal não apenas melhora os resultados de saúde dos bebês, mas também fortalece o vínculo entre a família e a equipe médica, promovendo um ambiente de cuidado mais compassivo e humanizado. Portanto, a continuidade e a expansão dessas práticas são essenciais para a qualidade do atendimento neonatal. Superar as barreiras identificadas e investir em treinamento contínuo são passos importantes na promoção da humanização na UTI-Neonatal e na garantia do melhor cuidado possível para os recém-nascidos e suas famílias
