Supposing time-invariant, discrete-time multivariable systems a simple method is pre- sented to determine a parametrized form of the feedback matrix which ensures the mini- mum-time dead-beat operation. The suggested method is based on well-known principles. In respect of applications a useful result is that restrictions which can be imposed on the control sequence or on the characteristics of the trajectory can be given by choosing proper parameter values
