Freezing assets and confiscating property of Italian, Japanese and Germans was amongst the first measures taken to manifest this support. Subsequently, these citizens were held in a concentration camp in Fu sagasuga in the Department of Cundinamarca. The expulsion of Japanese diplo mats led to Spain representing its diplomatic interests in Colombia during the WWII. This paper addresses the drastic changes underwent by the Japanese community in Colombia.
