The article presents the design of didactic, pedagogical and community strategies that contribute to the mitigation of barriers to learning and participation in the educational process of students with disabilities at the Instituto Santo Ángel de Bucaramanga. A qualitative study was carried out, based on Action Research, with a non-probabilistic sample composed of directors, teachers, students with disabilities and their guardians. The results describe and analyze learning barriers present in the institution due to the way in which diversity is understood and managed from the managerial and pedagogical levels.
