The purpose of this article is to present the highlights of an investigation whose general objective was to identify the variables that affect resistance to organizational change in small and medium enterprises (SMEs), dedicated to the production of materials for industrial safety and hygiene in the state of Miranda. It is supported by different theories, such as those proposed by Lewin (1951), Shein (1985), Prochaska and Di Clemente (1992), among others. The approach of this non-experimental, descriptive study was positivist with a study of objective reality.
