Keeping organizations in balance seems a managerial chimera, because environmental perturbations have tendencies to cause disruption of the classic ways of managing. The purpose of this reflection aims at understanding the challenges and implications about the conceptions of management, framed by the sciences of complexity, and based on the theoretical construction provided by the principles of non-equilibrium thermodynamics, based on authors as Prigogine (1999), Prigogine y Stengers (1991, 2004), Maldonado (2011), Etkin (2006), Wheatley (1994), among others.
