Dan McGlinn's seminar presentation to the University of South Carolina Biology Department on November 6th 2023 which describes his lab's efforts to measure and restore biodiversity in isolated wetlands. Specifically, the talk examines work led by Jackson Barrett Heitman which compared songbird biodiversity between isolated wetlands and upland pine habitats. The presentation also describes work led by Alannah Burrill introducing a federally endangered plant, Canby's dropwort, to two isolated wetlands. In the experiment, a prescribed fire vs mowing treatment are compared.</p
