As noções de corpo e mente na Ética de Benedictus de Spinoza

The Philosophy of Benedictus of Spinoza was an attempt to be beyond the substantial dualism since the beginning, that it radically opposed body and mind. With the intention of contesting the philosophical statements that they sustained this separation among body and mind. Spinoza leaves of his conception of the only substance, composed by infinites attributes, formulated in the First Part of the Ethics, to build his definitions of body and mind, demonstrating his theory, and contesting the conceptions in opposite. However, of these infinites attributes of the only substance, only two can be known by men: the thought and the extension. To the equalization of the body and of the mind a subject is imposed for Spinoza that turns on “the one what can a body?” Is it starting from the knowledge of the body and of the mind and for the conatus degree that this philosophy makes to notice us that the individuality of each body feels for his capacity of being affected and to react to the affections. A Filosofia de Benedictus de Spinoza foi desde o princípio uma tentativa de superação do dualismo substancial, que opunha radicalmente corpo e mente. Com a intenção de refutar as afirmações filosóficas que sustentavam esta separação entre corpo e mente. Spinoza parte de sua concepção da substância única, composta por infinitos atributos, formulada na Parte 1 da Ética para construir suas definições de corpo e mente, demonstrando sua teoria, e, refutando as concepções em contrário. Porém, destes infinitos atributos da substância única, apenas dois podem ser conhecidos pelos homens: o pensamento e a extensão. À equiparação do corpo e da mente se impõe uma questão para Spinoza que versa sobre “o que pode um corpo?”.
