Niche with three figures, Niche 4, Beishan Rock Carvings (北山石刻)

This niche is located in Beishan Rock Carvings (北山石刻), Fowan (佛灣), Dazu (大足) District, Chongqing. It depicts three figures. The central image, whose identity is unknown, is seated with crossed legs on a lotus throne, flanked by figures on either side. The attendant figures could be disciples, as the one on its right-hand side wears a robe. Unfortunately, the carvings of both figures are badly weathered and missing most details.
