Refugees are among the most marginalized populations in Canada, whose living conditions are worsened by the fact that they scatter throughout the country to access housing that they can afford, pursue economic opportunities to sustain their families, and preserve their cultural integrity in the face of social isolation. This project contemplates how architecture can help instigate a systemic change in refugees’ transition from their lives in their home countries to their new lives in Vancouver.
