Women's rigth to the city. A review of the concept of the right to the city from a feminist perspective

The right to the city is a concept used by several authors to explain the territorial inequalities of our cities and propose other forms of more just and democratic urban and territorial planning. On the other hand, for some time now, another layer of analysis of inequality has begun to gain relevance in Uruguay, which brings to the surface a problem that is often invisible:the gaze with a gender and feminist perspective. Currently, these inequalities, territorial and gender, continue to exist in our cities and in some cases have deepened. In this context, this research proposes to question the concept of the right to the city from a gender and feminist perspective, reviewing referent proposals and groups, from its origins to the present, to finally arrive at project reflections that guarantee women's right to the city. Keywords: right to the city, feminist urbanism, territorial inequalities, gender inequalities.El derecho a la ciudad, es un concepto utilizado por diversos autores y autoras a la hora de explicitar las desigualdades territoriales de nuestras ciudades y de proponer otras formas de construcción de ciudad más justas y democráticas. Ahora bien, desde hace un tiempo, en Uruguay ha comenzado a cobrar relevancia otra capa de análisis de la desigualdad, que trae a superficie una problemática muchas veces invisibilizada: la mirada con perspectiva de género y feminista. Actualmente, estas desigualdades, territoriales y de género, siguen existiendo en nuestras ciudades y en algunos casos se han profundizado. En este contexto, esta investigación propone interpelar el concepto de derecho a la ciudad desde una mirada con perspectiva de género y feminista, revisando propuestas y colectivos referentes, desde sus orígenes hasta la actualidad, para finalmente arribar a reflexiones proyectuales que propicien el derecho de las mujeres a la ciudad.
